Remakes are in…. South stars are introduced… That’s how Bollywood is setting the trend these days… Let’s see one such celebrity of South who is stepping into Hindi screen with Rohan Sippy’s thriller ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ (sorry it’s not a remake though).

Rana Daggubati, the hot Telugu star, gets to share the screen space with B-town’s equally hot actors Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar, Aditya Pancholi among others.

Talking about his character, sources revealed, Rana plays DJ Joki in ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. A local musician and mute spectator to what is happening around him, Joki drifts aimlessly through life after an encounter with the drug mafia cost him everything he held dear. One fine day he discovers history has a nasty habit of repeating itself. Will he finally have the guts to take a stand? Only the movie can tell which releases on 22 April 2011. For now, checkout here Rana’s look in the movie ….

‘Dum Maaro Dum’ is set in the backdrop of scenic locales of Goa and the story deals with gangsters and drugs.
